Behaviour

At Pyrcroft Grange Primary School, we believe that excellent behaviour and positive attitudes to learning are essential to ensuring that children can learn well in a happy, secure, and caring environment. Every member of the school community should feel a sense of belonging. We consistently expect a high standard of behaviour from children and expect all adults to be excellent role models. Positive behaviour reflects the key values of the school. This behaviour is modelled and taught to all pupils, so that they understand what behaviour is expected and are encouraged to take responsibility for their behaviour.

We place high value on the respectful, trusted relationships which are built between staff and pupils. Staff are invested in the pupils and use a wide range of skills to empower the pupils to take responsibility for their behaviour. At Pyrcroft Grange Primary School staff collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to support the positive development of pupil behaviour, in a range of contexts.

Pupils take an active role in the school through the roles of team captains, leadership roles, school council, eco heroes and play ambassadors. Pupils take pride in their work and the culture across the school is one of a desire to learn.
