We have been learning the nursery rhyme ‘One, two, three, four, five, once I caught a fish alive’ and exploring words that rhyme. We listen for words that sound the same at the end.
We have been learning all about 2d shapes. We have been identifying circles, triangles and shapes with 4 sides. We have also looked at the shapes in different orientations.
During forest school EYFS/KS1 COIN and the COIN afternoon class learnt all about Mary Anning and how fossils are made. The children all made their own dinosaur fossil, learnt some facts about Mary Anning and wrote their own recount of how a fossil is formed.
In KS1 COIN we have been making fruit salads! We have practised following instructions to make our own fruit salads. We enjoyed exploring and tasting a range of fruits. We practised cutting and chopping our fruit, mixing it in the bowl and pouring on the orange juice. Now we will write our own set of instructions.
