PE & Sport Premium
Sports Premium Funding
At Pyrcroft Grange, we recognise the important contribution of PE to the health and well-being of our pupils. We also believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on concentration, attitude and academic achievement for all our children.
Our Primary School Sports Funding will enable us to continue and extend our provision through employing additional sports professionals, entering into more competitive sports competitions, training our staff to deliver in-house quality PE sessions and providing structured play at lunchtimes.
What is Sports Premium?
The government is providing funding of approximately £150 million per annum for the academic year to provide new and substantial Primary School Sports Funding. The funding is being jointly provided by the Department for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sports, and will see money going directly going to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all children. The money received by the school can only be spent on PE and sports in school.
Purpose of the funding
Schools will have to spend the sports funding on improving their provision of PE and sports, but will have the freedom to choose how they do this. Please click on the links below to see our tables of spending and impacts.
